Overview

We leave the city and head towards the cost road north of Barcelona. We ride for approx 45 mins and stop for a coffee & pastry in the coastal village of Sant Pol de Mar to have breakfast by the sea. We then continue our journey to Tossa de Mar to visit the castle. We take the "GI 682" coastal road which offers a twisting road with spectacular views , this road is featured in many guides as one of the best roads in Europe. We get to see on the best coastal roads in Europe and stop in the coastal towns and villages along the way which all different but equally charming. Lunch is in the fishing village of Palamos where freshly caught fish is available on the menu of the local restaurant but also they offer a variety of fresh local products.

What To Expect

Sant Pol de Mar

Our first stop where we have a light breakfast & hot drink in the small town of Sant Pol, we visit a small cafe that has views of the town & coast. Here we can talk a little more about the route for the day and get to know the group a little better.

Tossa de Mar

We stop at the castle that dominates the town where we can enjoy some amazing coastal views of the town and surrounding area.

Sant Feliu de Guixols

We arrive here from Tossa de Mar via the famous "GI682" coastal road that offers 23kms of spectacular views with a turn for every day in the year! (365) this part will last for approx. 40 mins including stops.

Palamos

Palamos is working fishing village located on the north of the Costa Brava it has a port, beach and picturesque town. Its home to some of the best restaurants on the Costa Brava so naturally this is where we will stop and eat!

Great day out of Barcelona

Everything was smooth and the experience memorable.
Before booking, Roger took time to call me and discuss options with me (while other agencies were rather pushing me into a purchase).
Once I booked my ride, Roger took care of all the paperwork before I arrived. So I could just show up and ride, which is what I did.
The motorcycle was new, and you have a large choice of bikes to to chose from.
The ride was great, the road was superb and enjoyable. Roger adapted to my riding style, so no pressure at all.
We had lunch in a great place, on the sea front. What not to like!

I strongly recommend booking a ride with Discover Barcelona. I do put a lot of value on customer service and they understand what that means.
Finally, I rode with Roger and his wife Mary and I very much enjoyed their company. They are great people, knowledgeable and funny.

Don't miss it! Fast bikes, great beach views, and amazing turns

Great tour guide, and an absolutely great place to visit. Of all the coasts and beaches I've visited, this one is jaw-dropping. Fantastic motorcycle ride, with curves that go on for miles, and it was very interesting to get outside of Barcelona and see more of the country. Sometimes, you get what you pay for - this adventure was one of those things that was completely worth it.

Excellent tour guide, who sources good quality and highly maintained motorcycles (typically in-shop). It was a fantastically fun time, with a bike that I was able to pick out. Since my Spanish is still improving, it was good to have a guide so comfortable in both languages. Next time I'm in the country, I'll probably take this ride again with friends.

Details: have your passport or a picture of it handy. Get travel medical insurance before you go, just in case, as your regular plan will not cover injuries that occur overseas. Also, go down to AAA and get an international drivers licence. It's basically an official translation of your own countries motorcycle and vehicle license. It's about 20$ and good for a year. Without it you can only ride motorcycles below 500hp. Looking back, I would have liked a GoPro to record some of the route. Take some cash (preferably small bills) if you plan to buy something in the smaller towns. Above all, have fun!
